2026-08-28 — Open database goes live (private beta)

• Public API v1: hash-first lookup by CRC/MD5/SHA-1, name search, weekly downloadable dumps, OpenAPI spec — anonymous access, self-service API keys.
• Browsable database at /db — 43,092 redistributable games across 92 platforms, from open catalogs (no-intro, redump, libretro, GameTDB) and community contributions.
• Community contributions: propose edits and upload media (contributor charter) with convergence voting, trusted contributors and full audit trail.
• Media type taxonomy served at /media-types (ScreenScraper/EmulationStation naming).
• Public statistics page — coverage per platform, contribution counters.
