Agent X II: The Mad Prof's Back! once again sends you into battle against the mad professor, whose plan this time is to infect humanity with acne and throw the economy into chaos. The adventure is divided into three sections: first, you control Agent X in a side-scrolling shooter, collecting weapons and battling enemy waves. Then comes a platforming sequence where you climb a tower while collecting code fragments. Finally, there is a Breakout-style stage in which a moving bat at the top of the screen unpredictably fires the ball back, keeping you on edge until the very end.
