"American Tag-Team Wrestling" focuses on intense team battles where each player selects two wrestlers. When one fighter is weakened, they can tag their partner at the edge of the ring to recover. The game offers both single matches for one or two players and a full tournament with three rounds of varying lengths. The control system eliminates frantic joystick shaking, allowing for a variety of kicks, throws, and punches through simple movements. When fighters get close, they engage in a grapple, giving the opportunity to lift the opponent and slam them onto the mat.
