"A.M.C.: Astro Marine Corps" is a side-scrolling shooter where you, as a member of the Astro Marine Corps, battle hordes of hostile aliens. With three lives and a health bar that depletes on contact but can be replenished with "E" power-ups, you must fight through perilous levels. Various upgrades, like triple shots and shields, aid in combat, while deadly traps — such as carnivorous plants and a dragon that devours victims, leaving only their bones — constantly threaten your survival.
