Battlefront is a World War II corps commander simulator where players lead Axis and Allied troops. As the commander, the player issues orders to up to twelve regiments, which must carry out these commands under enemy pressure. The objectives and time frame are set; the player decides which tasks the regiments will take on while maintaining supply lines. Each round lasts six hours, during which combat occurs and troops move. The map shows the terrain in square kilometers, controlled by battalions. There are 14 types of battalions with varying levels of experience and morale. The game offers four scenarios: Crete (1941), Stalingrad (1942), Saipan (1944), and Bastogne (1944-45).
