In Bug Crusher you control a small spaceship that can move in all directions to crush pesky bugs. You're safe only inside three bunkers at the edges – step outside and a red enemy will chase you, draining your fuel. Other enemies continuously scroll across the screen. If they hit you or your fuel runs out, you lose a life. With five lives and the option to activate temporary invincibility at the cost of fuel, every move becomes a risky mission.
