"Cave of the Word Wizard" puts the player in the role of Mark or Becky, who are trapped in a cave full of dangers. While avoiding obstacles like boulders, snakes, and water pits, they must find magical crystals. A band-aid helps overcome obstacles — once they're used up, the game is over. Occasionally, the Word Assistant appears and presents a vocabulary challenge. A correct answer allows progress, while a mistake weakens the flashlight. Without light, the adventure ends.
