“Demon Stalkers” throws you into dark dungeons full of danger, where you play as either a knife-throwing hero or a crossbow-wielding heroine. Along the way, you'll find relics that permanently boost your attack, defense or magical power, as well as scrolls and amulets that offer temporary effects. Food can heal damage, but sometimes it's poisoned – just like certain scrolls can unleash a “Curse of Slow Death” that drains your health until you find the level's exit. Enemies include rats, ghosts that walk through walls, dervishes that steal your items, dormant snappers, and fireball-hurling mad magicians. Most monsters spawn from vortex points you can destroy – except for rats, which endlessly crawl from indestructible sewer grates.
