Enigma Force begins where its predecessor "Shadowfire" left off: General Zoff, the villainous galaxy dictator, has been captured by the four members of the Enigma team. But on the way to a prison world, the spaceship has to make an emergency landing on a planet. It is the homeworld of Syylk, the insectoid who is a member of the Enigma team. The people of Syylk are currently at war with a few reptilians from the star cluster around the corner to the left, who are loyal to General Zoff. Aim of the cosmic confusion game: Team up with the insectioids and prevent Zoff from escaping with a spaceship.
