Gates of Dawn places you in the role of a knight exploring a mysterious labyrinth to uncover the secret of a ghost. To pass the legendary gates, you must gather four elements – iron, stone, fire and ice – hidden across 64 interconnected rooms. The maze is shown in a 3D view, with a map tracking your progress and an arrow indicating your current facing direction. Many chambers are filled with monsters that drain your strength or cost you a life upon contact. Armed with a sword, limited power and several lives, you fight to survive – only by uniting all four elements can you finally pass through the Gates of Dawn.
