"Lane Mastodon vs. the Blubbermen" takes place in the year 2029, as the evil Blubbermen invade Earth. Only the brave Lane Mastodon can stop them, in a setting reminiscent of 1950s science fiction films. The game is part of the so-called InfoComics series and follows the same system as its counterparts. The player reads text and follows the story through comic panels, featuring automatic zooming, panning, and rotation. At certain points, choices must be made that steer the story in different directions.
