Also known as: Legacy Of The Ancients
Publisher: Electronic Arts · Developer: Quest Software · Genre: Role-playing (RPG)
Legacy of the Ancients begins with a young shepherd who stumbles upon a corpse and unknowingly sets off on a grand adventure. A black disk, a bracelet, and a scroll lead him to the Galactic Museum, where he learns he must destroy the Wizard's Compendium. Gaining access to museum exhibits requires special coins earned through combat, quests, or purchases. Progression comes not from experience points, but from completing tasks. Towns and overworlds are top-down, while dungeons and the museum are in 3D. Minigames improve attributes, casinos offer risky profits, and robbing banks draws the city guards' attention.
