“Lunar Leeper” challenges you to rescue hostages on the surface and safely bring them to your ship while avoiding moon leapers that attempt to capture you or the hostages. If you approach a hostage while a leaper is nearby, the leaper will rush toward the hostage unless it is killed. If a leaper captures you, you lose a life. You can shoot the leapers, but only when they are not on the surface, and your ammunition is limited. Additionally, your fuel supply is finite, requiring you to refuel at a station when it runs low. Between levels, you enter a cave where you must locate and destroy a massive floating object to progress to the next, more challenging level.
