"Mayhem in Monsterland" is a side-scrolling platform game where the player, as Mayhem, an unhappy dinosaur, works to restore Monsterland to a cheerful place. Monsterland became gloomy due to the magical experiments of Theo Saurus, an apprentice who dabbled in spells after drinking too much cactus juice. In each of the five levels, Mayhem collects magic dust from defeated enemies and delivers it to Theo's hidden cave. Theo uses the dust to make the level happy again, which is reflected in livelier music, brighter landscapes, and friendlier creatures.
