"Metro-Cross" takes place in a futuristic setting where the player must race through 32 tracks while racing against time. Forward movement happens automatically, and the player's task is to dodge obstacles, collect items, and adjust speed. If the player reaches the finish line within the time limit, the remaining time is converted into bonus points, and the next track begins. Every fourth track is a special track, where previously saved time is used as extra time. If the player fails to reach the finish line in time, the game is over.
