“Miami Vice” follows the investigations of Crockett and Tubbs as they attempt to take down a drug ring led by Mr. J. The player starts by arresting low-level dealers before moving up to their suppliers and ultimately the bosses in a casino. Missions combine driving sequences and shootouts in an overhead view of Miami. Criminals can be stopped to gather information, though some must be taken down by force. When a meeting is discovered, the player can enter on foot to collect evidence or make arrests — but the criminals inside won't simply let them do their job. Everything happens under a time limit, and crashing the car results in a one-minute penalty.
