The famous detective Sir Charles Foxworth is on vacation on the Mississippi with his servant Regis on the Delta Princess. He is taking a walk across the upper deck of the ship when he spots an open cabin door. Behind it: a dead man. It turns out that the body is Raleigh Cartwright III. Sir Charles has three days to find the murderer, because then the ship will reach New Orleans and give the perpetrator a safe chance to escape.
