“Pitfall II: Lost Caverns” takes Pitfall Harry deep into the Andes, where he searches for the legendary Raj diamond, his niece Rhonda, her cat Quickclaw, and hidden treasures. But the maze-like caverns are full of dangers: poisonous frogs, eels, scorpions, bats, and more make every move critical. Unlike its predecessor, the game features checkpoints – red crosses that send Harry back when he fails, reducing his score in the process. That score also serves as an energy reserve, and if it hits zero, the game ends. Smart exploration and collecting gold bars not only boosts your score but also helps you endure the long journey through the lost caverns.
