Pitstop II turns Formula 1 racing into an especially gripping contest, because it is not just raw speed that matters, but also the smart handling of tires, fuel, and the perfect moment for a pit stop. The different tracks, the choice of lap count, and the direct competition against the computer or a second player ensure that each race has its own character and feels like more than just a simple dash to the finish. Its most striking feature is the simultaneous split-screen mode for two players, which gives the game an unusually lively and competitive energy.
