Puffy's Saga tells the story of Puffy and his girlfriend Puffyn, who are trapped in a strange world full of dangers. You can control either Puffy, who is stronger, or Puffyn, who moves faster. The game is played from a top-down perspective and resembles a cute variant of Gauntlet. Each of the 20 levels requires you to eat a set number of dots while enemies surround you and drain your energy on contact. Meat restores energy, and your gun not only destroys enemies but also turns many into edible snacks that restore your strength. Keys open locked doors, while Magic Goms grant powers such as revealing a map or casting firebolts. Additional bonuses like invincibility or teleporting help you survive the perilous mazes.
