RISK. (Rapid Intercept Seek and Kill) takes place on the planet Christon 3, it is a horizontally scrolling shooter in which scientists work on developing new weapons. The planet is being attacked by aliens and the player has to fight them. The game begins in a safe station where the player can repair damage or upgrade the ship. Within a level, a mothership can drop supply pods that either repair the ship, replenish ammunition, or contain ship parts. In each level it is also possible to land the ship and allow one of the scientists to enter. Upgrading the ship requires certain combinations of parts, blueprints, and recruited scientists. Possible upgrades include increased speed, better firepower or shields.
