SDI: Strategic Defense Initiative is a classic-style shoot-'em-up where you control a satellite tasked with intercepting waves of bombs targeting the USA. Movement and aiming are handled independently – allowing for precise firing and evasive control. Defensive phases require you to stop incoming threats, Missile Command-style. Offensive stages are free-flight shoot-'em-up sequences where you destroy dangers before they activate, while trying to preserve destructible (but valuable) platforms.
