Sanxion puts you in control of a futuristic aircraft, battling through endless waves of colorful enemies. The game stands out with its split view: a panoramic bird's-eye perspective at the top and the main battlefield below. Scrolling speed is determined by your plane's position – slower near the left edge, faster toward the center. There are no end-bosses or power-ups, but after each stage you enter bonus rounds where the challenge is to shoot, collect, or dodge objects in a race against time.
