“Spitfire '40” puts you in the cockpit of a British fighter during the Battle of Britain. As a young pilot in 1940, you must prove your skill in navigation, flight, and combat over southern England. The simulation includes advanced maneuvers like rolls, loops, and split-S dives. Using a map, you guide your plane to targets while managing landing gear, brakes, and rudder control. Combat encounters are randomly generated – for example, six enemies ten miles out at 1500 feet. Practice modes for flight and dogfighting prepare you before heading into real missions.
