Summer Olympiad positions itself as a rival to the Epyx sports titles, offering five classic events that also appear in those games – some with improved graphics and slightly different controls. You begin by choosing up to six players, entering names, selecting a country and then deciding which events – skeet, hurdles, fencing, triple jump and diving – will be part of the competition. Using the joystick, you highlight your desired disciplines and start the contest via the white box at the bottom. Summer Olympiad delivers a compact multiplayer sports package that puts its own spin on familiar events.
