"Transformers" takes place on an Earth occupied by shape-shifting alien robots, turning the planet into a battlefield. The war between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons revolves around energy – the goal is to collect four pieces of the Energon Cube and return them to the Autobot base. The Decepticons will do everything in their power to stop this and use the cubes for their own purposes. The player controls five Autobots, which can switch between robot and vehicle form. In robot form, they can walk or fly, while in vehicle form, they drive across the platforms. The Defensa Pod allows switching between Autobots. Once all cubes are collected, the game restarts – with an increased level of difficulty.
