Ultima I: The First Age of Darkness casts you as "The Stranger", summoned from another world to defeat the evil wizard Mondain. With the Gem of Immortality in his grasp, Mondain cannot be killed, and his forces terrorize the land of Sosaria. Your quest spans dungeons, open landscapes, and even space, as you gather clues, battle enemies, and grow stronger. Ultima I is considered a landmark in RPG history and the first true open-world computer game.
