In Xenon, you play as space pilot Darrian, responding to the first wave of Xenite attacks on human colonies. You control a high-tech vehicle that can transform between a tank and a plane to target either ground or air enemies. The playfield scrolls in the direction you move, and some enemies are placed on elevated terrain, making them only vulnerable from the air. Destroying foes grants power-ups, and the game challenges you with fast-paced, tactical combat across a pseudo-3D battlefield.
