Digimon 02 5 is a variant of Digimon 2 where the playable character is changed to Veemon, and the level order is altered. Veemon's secondary attack involves shooting V-shaped projectiles instead of fireballs. The evolution item works as it does in the original game, evolving Veemon into a different form. The intro has been completely revamped with stock art of various Digimon and a new story. The title screen is simpler, displaying the game's title and stock art of Veemon from the intro.
