Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 9 - Ketteiban
Publisher: Konami
The ninth installment, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Jakyuu 9, introduced substantial graphical upgrades, employing cel-shaded graphics for a more cartoonish appearance. It includes professional baseball with Japan's pro league license, along with a high-school baseball mode leading to the Koushien national championship. This edition focuses on pro team simulation, offering accurate player data up to April 2002. Enhanced Pennant Mode provides detailed team simulation options, a trade system, acquisition of free agents and foreign players, and ten-season simulations. Teams customized in Pennant Mode can be used in other modes for personalized gameplay. New features include a practice system affecting player relationships and performance during the season. Ancillary modes like Home Run Derby and "Home Run-Kun" add extra gameplay variety, challenging players to hit record homers across famous stadiums.
