The cardinal Ark temple is an ancient structure where the evil god Helgaia lies, sealed away millennia ago. The guardian of the temple, Egma, sensed signs of Helgaia's resurgence and awoke from his slumber. He then summoned those who possessed the Spectral Letters scattered throughout the land to the temple. The Dominators, who bear the Spectral Letters, fragments of the seal and bearers of Helgaia's power, gathered. One of them could defeat Helgaia and seal him again. For Egma, this was a gamble.
