Sengoku Cannon picks up where Sengoku Blade left off. Like the previous games in the series, it's a side-scrolling 2D shooter set in a steampunk version of the Sengoku period. Players choose one of six supernatural characters to take on various demons and giant steampunk enemies. The namesake "cannon" is a new type of attack, a powerful single shot that players charge up; players can also use a standard rapid-fire attack, and a Dodonpachi-style laser that slows down the player when firing.
