It's fourth down, two yards to the end zone, and only ten seconds left in the game. The crowd goes wild as you scan the defense. Something is wrong, so you decide to do an audible. The center plays the ball, you give it to the halfback, who pulls right, turns, and throws the ball back to you in the end zone. TOUCHDOWN! Welcome to "GRIDIRON!", one of the most realistic football games on the PC. It offers five levels of play, from "Practice" to "Pro," for one or two players. You have full control, can change your plays on the fly, and read the defense. On the field, you control the ball carrier; on defense, you choose your player. There are 40 standard plays that you can customize with the Play Creation Utility. The realistic sound brings the stadium feeling right to you, with the crowd cheering, whistles, and collisions on the field.
