Ishar 3: Seven Gates of Infinity continues the Ishar RPG saga, pitting players against the malevolent sorcerer Shandar, who seeks to reincarnate as a Black Dragon during a cosmic alignment. Time travel plays a key role, with seven eras to explore and pivotal moments to alter. The game retains the mechanics of its predecessors—mouse-driven exploration, combat, and resource gathering—though progression often requires grinding for money before tackling puzzles and enemies. While derivative in style, Ishar 3 offers an engaging mix of adventure, strategy, and classic RPG action, making it a solid choice for series fans.
