Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers for the A1200 AGA is faster and better than previous Amiga versions, but remains visually weak. The backgrounds are poorly drawn, and the fighters are small and lacking in detail. The animations feel dated, but the lack of graphics is compensated for by the high speed and smoothness. The A1200 version features improved graphics such as overlaid energy bars and reaches 50 frames per second, providing a better gaming experience. In NTSC mode and with increased turbo speed, the game runs very smoothly. The sound is average, but offers a combination of music and effects that maintains the gameplay. Despite the fast-paced action, the experience is marred by poor graphics and annoying disk accesses. You have to be a big fan to forgive the numerous flaws.
