Land of the Unicorn is an educational vocabulary practice game with three activities: Synonym Practice and Quiz, Antonym Practice and Quiz, and The Quest of the Silver Unicorn. The first two are for word review, while the third is the actual game. In the Quest game, the player controls the unicorn Kelsany as he searches for a magical necklace to save his land. This necklace is located in one of five castles, and the game involves exploring a maze-like world and collecting keys to open the locks. Along the way, the game is punctuated by questions about synonyms, antonyms, and anagrams. Answering correctly earns gold, which is needed to pay bridge trolls who otherwise block the river crossing. The game ends when the door to the castle containing the necklace is opened.
