In my detective office. No order for weeks. No money for the tips. I sit here in a mess of paper and ponder. I'm thinking, 'You need a big chunk now or else... one dollar and a half left in your pocket. I order a pizza. The colorful neon signs of Broadway illuminate my office. I put on a Chesterfield and think about the future. Why two years of training with the FBI; why and why the woman was lost? I play with the 38. It feels pleasantly cool. I think: 'Something has to be done now!' A boy brings me the pizza. 'One dollar forty,' he says. I eat my pizza and have no idea that the hardest action will soon rob me of my sleep. You now take on the role of our hero in this adventure! One- and two-word commands are understood.
