Overrun! is a squad-level tactical wargame simulating modern combat across European and Middle Eastern battlefields. Players command combined-arms forces consisting of infantry, tanks, artillery, and helicopters representing Arab nations, Iran, Israel, NATO, or the Warsaw Pact. Scenarios range from historical conflicts, including the 1973 Arab-Israeli October War, to hypothetical near-future battles such as an Iranian invasion of Kuwait. A single-player campaign mode features randomly generated maps where players build and preserve a core force through successive victories. Built on SSI's Panzer Strike engine, the game emphasizes realism with detailed unit statistics, morale, command status, and battlefield conditions affecting combat performance. Dozens of weapons are modeled individually, while vehicle armor varies by location, making positioning and facing critical tactical considerations.
