Revenge of Lode Runner is a notorious 1986 arcade puzzle game originally released for the Apple II as an unofficial hack of the original Doug Smith classic ⁠Lode Runner. It expanded upon the standard mechanics by upping the difficulty, altering guard AI, and introducing tricky, custom level designs. Difficulty is significantly higher than the official Championship Lode Runner. It is well-regarded by Apple II enthusiasts as an unofficial successor to Championship Lode Runner.
