Based on the works of Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a classic science-fiction interactive fiction adventure from Infocom. Players take the role of Arthur Dent, an ordinary Englishman whose house—and soon afterward, the Earth—has just been demolished. Rescued by his alien friend Ford Prefect, Arthur embarks on a bizarre journey across the galaxy armed with a towel, a copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and a series of increasingly strange problems to solve. Using text commands, players explore locations, collect items, interact with characters, and consult the Guide for clues. While featuring many of the series' iconic characters, settings, and humor, the game presents its own puzzles and challenges. Careful observation is essential, as poor decisions can quickly lead to Arthur's untimely demise. As the Guide advises: DON'T PANIC!
