Ultima IV Construction Set is a famous, unofficial level editor and bootleg release for the Apple II computer. Released shortly after the 1985 launch of the classic RPG Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar, it was created by a software cracking group known as the Southwest Pirate's Guild. It include a functional, rudimentary tile and level editor. Players could modify game data, change maps, and customize starting character attributes.
