'96 Flag Rally

96 Flag Rally is a top-down racing game that takes place in maze-like environments similar to the Rally-X series of games. The player can choose between different girls and a selection of cars or motorcycles. The player rides or drives around to collect flags while avoiding hazards and opponents. Crashing will cost the player one of their lives. A map on the right-side of the screen shows the remaining flags via colored squares. Each stage only has a limited amount of time, represented through a green bar gradually filled up with red as time passes. Two actions are possible: utilizing a boost for extra speed and leaving behind smoke to stop opponents. Occasionally there will also be a special stage.
