The player controls a spaceship that travels through the galaxy. Unfortunately, there are asteroids and aliens that threaten the lives of the players... Meteor Defense is a shooter and the only goal is to survive long enough to get a high score. The player can freely move the spaceship horizontally and vertically and shoot moving obstacles that enter the screen from the right side. Points are earned when obstacles are knocked down and lost when they approach the left side of the screen.
