Paraply is a nostalgic throwback to the Nintendo Game & Watch LCD handheld era of the early 1980s. The concept is pure, high-score-driven arcade action: You control a character on the ground who must catch or rescue parachutists falling from the sky. Simple left-and-right movement to position yourself directly under the falling targets. As your score increases, the speed of the game ramps up. Parachutists drop faster and in more complex, overlapping patterns, requiring rapid positioning and muscle memory. The graphics are styled to look exactly like the fixed, black-segment LCD characters of early portable gaming, giving players a giant-screen version of a retro pocket game.
