This educational game from the DENVER range, tested in kindergarten, helps children understand that a letter of the alphabet is associated with a sound. Many children will later have poor spelling because they will not have assimilated this notion. The relationship between the sound and the drawing of a letter is an essential notion for learning to read. To do this, the software presents the child with familiar objects, then the spelling of words, including the sound studied. On ATARI ST, the program works with the mouse and a friendly voice is heard to give the correct pronunciations.
