The year is 1630. For more than 10 years, envy and discord have been shaking the country. The once united kingdom has fallen into the hands of princes, each of whom claims royal power for himself. Deserted burial grounds and noble diners are silent witnesses to sacrilegious crimes. Lust and greed have brought down the solid walls of the monastery and laid the dead to rest at last. In the hope of making a good profit, the precious shrines in which the bones of the deceased abbots rest have been stolen from the crypt and scattered to the winds. Whoever succeeds in wresting exactly 7 shrines from the others and bringing them intact to Pollenburg Cathedral for eternal rest will be the winner.
