Welcome to the Triad. Here, you have but one goal - vanquish the enemy, any way you can. One way is through battle. The other is to make a distortion barrier vertically or horizontally, severing the Triad. You each have 4 squadrons at your disposal comprised of 3 starships of various types and abilities. Use a joy controller in port 2 to control the Rubyllian fleet in 1 or 2 player games. A second controller may be used in port 1 to control the Azurian fleet in a 2 player game. You each take turns moving squadrons within the Triad using the joy controller. When 2 attempt to occupy the same sector, battle ensues. Then you must decide which vessel to pit against your opponent (choose the ? box for squadron info) or choose the flag box to beat a hasty retreat. Once battle begins, there is only one way out - elimination. So choose wisely. Should you wish to leave the Triad? press ESC from the main screen. Hint: ALT is a secret key...
