Strange Wars is a platform game with 4 characters: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth. Each Hero can reach 6 different levels of attacks and 4 super-attacks. At the beginning, the characters have the less effective attack level. During the trip through areas, you may gain more life points. The more you have life points, the more your attacks will be powerful. The game has 7 levels plus one training level (level 0). Each level but level 0 are under the control of a boss with a special "strange" boss at level 4. Through levels, you can pick up various jewels and money. You must have at least 32 bonuses of this kind to save the game before the next level. In various places you will find switchers (many look like computers) that you must hit to open ways in another place of the level. In levels up to 2, you will find doors. You just have to stay in front of one door and to push the joystick/pad down to go through this door.
