Pontoon, often considered the British version of Blackjack, brings a twist to this casino classic. It is played, like its cousin, with one or more standard decks of cards but with a few distinct rules that add spice and strategy to the game. Basic Rules of Pontoon The goal of Pontoon is similar to Blackjack: To obtain a higher hand than the dealer without exceeding 21 points. However, here, the “Pontoon” is the highest hand, equivalent to natural Blackjack and consists of an Ace and a card worth 10 points. Specifics of Pontoon A notable difference is the absence of information about the dealer's hand. In Pontoon, the dealer's cards are both dealt face down, thus increasing the mystery and challenge. This rule, in our opinion, makes the game particularly intriguing for strategists.
