The goal of Zener is to guess the symbols on the cards dealt face down on the screen. The game is played over 5 rounds. Start the game by shuffling the 20 cards. The cards contain 5 different symbols (circle, star, rectangle, wave and triangle). 5 cards are dealt face down. You must determine which symbol you think is hidden under the selected card. The 5 remaining symbols are displayed at the bottom of the screen. To make your selection, place the mouse pointer over the button below the chosen symbol and press the mouse button. The hidden symbol is revealed. If your choice matches the hidden card, a bell rings, your score increases by 1 point, and your ESP (displayed at the top of the screen as a number and a bar) increases by 4%. The next card is then highlighted. If you make a mistake, you move on to the next card. This is necessary for each of the 20 cards. After each round, the cards are shuffled. Once all 5 rounds are complete, your final score and ESP are calculated.
